Gemini

Annie and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary recently.  On Tuesday (the day of our anniversary), we saw the legendary Rolling Stones!  And on Friday, we ate at Gemini, a restaurant local to our new neighborhood in Lincoln Park.  It came highly recommended by my co-worker, and is a place we dined at once before.  Our 2nd experience really blew me away.  Much of the menu sounded good to the both of us, so we decided to split a bunch of appetizers and 1 main.

Ahi Tuna Tartare - the best tuna tartare I've ever had.  Temperature was perfect (not too cold), and was presented in a mold-like dip.  Extremely fresh and great flavor.

Chicken Tinga Nachos - individually dressed nachos, giving you the perfect amount of toppings.  A nice kick, but not overly spicy.

Heirloom Tomato (salad) - your typical caprese salad.  Tomatoes were perfect.

Prosciutto and Buratta - again the attention to detail is where Gemini thrives.  Each crostini was prepared beautifully and the melon marmalade really made this dish pop.

Burger - Adequate, but nothing special.  Kind of wish I got some more of the appetizers!

Gemini is the perfect restaurant for a date night, or just catching up with friends.  They have a wonderful cocktail and wine list, and good mixology.  Their patio is great way to enjoy neighborhood vibes and nice weather.  Service was on point, and very customer forward.  Knowing it was our anniversary, they offered us a free dessert.  When we told them we were full, they took one of our items off of the bill.  Something important to note is their menu is seasonal, so some of the things we experienced may not always be there.
